Dean's Message

Welcome to the web site for the College of Science at the United Arab Emirates University. Here you will find information concerning the programs offered in this College. If you desire more information please contact us or visit the campus; we will be pleased to show you our facilities and introduce you to the college.

The College supports five undergraduate programs (Mathematical Sciences, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Geology) and a graduate program in Environmental Sciences. College faculties and students also participate in other Masters Programs in Material Science and Engineering, Petroleum Science and Engineering, Water Resources, Remote Sensing & Geographic Information Systems. The College emphasizes an environment of learning through the experiential nature of laboratory-based coursework and field practical instruction. In partnership with industry, and other organizations, the goal of the College is to prepare students for success and leadership in the highly competitive and rapidly changing global marketplace and to provide a high-quality technical workforce for the future.

In addition to our department laboratories, we have special purpose facilities such as the Remote Sensing and GIS Lab., Petroleum Geology and Geochemistry Lab., Geological Museums, Herbarium, The Natural History Museum, and X-Ray Diffraction Lab.
